  LAKE SYLVIA BOAT PARADE  PARTICIPANT CHECK-IN & PARADE INSTRUCTIONS

  Proudly celebrating America's 250th Birthday and the Lake Sylvia community!

  Sunday, July 5th

  CHECK-IN

  • Please decorate safely and securely. Decorations should not interfere with the safe operation of your boat.  Any family friendly theme works!
  • Please check in between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM at the designated Check-In Pontoon located in Koinonia Cove by the channel 
  • Pick up your Vintage Lake Sylvia Poster, gift card, and have your picture taken
  • Text your boat name or theme, a cell phone number, one member's name, and if you are on East or West Lake to 320-224-2140

  PARADE START
  

  • Parade begins at 12:00 PM
  • Follow the lead boat for your lake - East or West
  • Participants are encouraged to wave, play music, and have fun, but please keep all activities family-friendly
  • Travel COUNTERCLOCKWISE around your lake.
  • Maintain a safe distance from the boat ahead of you.
  • Maintain a speed of approximately 10 MPH.
  • Stay near the shoreline whenever practical and safe , 200" from shore
  • Be courteous to other boaters and lake residents.

  SAFETY
  • Follow all Minnesota boating regulations.
  • No reckless operation or excessive wakes.
  • Designate a sober boat operator.
  • Watch for swimmers, docks, and other watercraft.

  Have fun, show your patriotic spirit, and enjoy celebrating Lake Sylvia with your neighbors!

  Early Bird (register by July 19): Each membership that signs up for picnic by July 19, will receive a complimentary commemorative Lake Sylvia vintage 11" x 17" poster at the picnic. 

  • $10 – GLSA Members (limit two per household)
  • $15 – Non-members
  • $5 – Ages 5–12
  • Free – Ages 4 and under

  After July 20 & At the Door:
  (Prices increase by $5)
